Keith Cheung

Inspired at age 11 by Mr. Tony Xu, Mr. Cheung began studying the trumpet and built a career rooted in international training and artistic excellence. A graduate of Hong Kong Baptist University under the tutelage of Mr. Yan Ka-fai, he furthered his studies at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Rueil-Malmaison in France and the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne in Switzerland, where he studied with renowned trumpeter Éric Aubier. An active presence on the global trumpet scene, Mr. Cheung has taken part in competitions, masterclasses, and solo recitals across Asia and Europe — including Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland and Italy. He has worked with and learned from internationally respected artists such as Éric Aubier, Guy Touvron, James Thompson and Joe Burgstaller. Highlighting his competitive success, he reached the finals of the European Brass International Trumpet Competition in 2018. With a foundation of rigorous training, broad international exposure, and recognition on the competition stage, Mr. Cheung offers audiences and students refined technique, expressive musicality, and a commitment to artistic growth.
